Whilst Margaret, and Samuel remained at home with them,
John, Rankin, James, Robert, Agnes and Joseph left Ireland for "the new world".

prior to her marriage to Thomas Barnes on April 10, 1873.
She died at Laen (near Donald, Victoria) on Feb 6, 1885
leaving her husband with five young children.
Samuel DOUGLASS was born June 24, 1847 in Tergoland (Dungiven), Ireland
He married Mary Carmichael there, and had two daughters.
Joseph DOUGLASS was born Jan 15, 1853 in Tergoland (Dungiven), Ireland
He married Margaret Gray (sister of James' wife Christina)
established a farm in Cowra, NSW and had nine children.

of the Wareek Sheep Dip Company.
John DOUGLASS died at Norwood on Jan 21, 1919 aged 79.
At the time his family owned 1133 acres.
His wife Elizabeth More died on December 31, 1928 at Norwood.

She married Tom Hutchinson on February 16, 1909
and died on June 9, 1945 at Geelong.
5. Agnes DOUGLASS was born on July 8, 1884 at Caralulup.
She married George William Cullum on April 29, 1914
and died May 17, 1964 at Surrey Hills (Vic)
6. Isabella DOUGLASS was born Nov 5, 1885 at Caralulup.
She married William Ogilvie Charles Will,
and died July 4, 1938 at Maryborough.
7. Annie May DOUGLASS was born September 24, 1887 at Norwood.
She married Frederick Rowles on Sept 25, 1912

10. Leslie Alexander DOUGLASS (twin) was born October 29, 1893 at Norwood.
He married Catherine Mary Cain on Sept 26, 1925,
and died aged 69 on April 5, 1963 at Bendigo.
11. Robert 'Bob' Allan DOUGLASS (twin) was born October 29, 1893 at Norwood.
He married Annie Cain (younger sister of his twin brother's wife) on July 9, 1928,
