I have no proof that the below James DICK who from Co. Down IR in 1805, is the same James DICK living in GA and is Tex' GGGG Grandfather. It does seem likely they are the same.
American Passenger Lists, 1804-06 [British Museum Transcripts], in Ireland, Northern; Public Records Office. Report of the deputy keeper of the records for the year 1929. Belfast: H.M. Stationery Office, 1930 [pages 15, 21-49] [Lancour No. 26] The list deals with 47 ships and gives the names of some 1,600 passengers. Eleven sailed from Belfast, Eleven from Dublin, Ten from Londonderry, Nine from Newry, Two from Sligo, one each from Ballyshannon and Warrenpoint. In two cases the Irish port is not listed. The port of entry in America: Is in Thirty cases New York, Eight cases Philadelphia and or Newcastle, Four cases Boston, Two each Baltimore and Charleston, One New Bedford. The emigrants from counties Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Londonderry and Tyrone have been indexed in the B appendix. Appendix B is entitled Index to Documents (other than normal increments) deposited in the public records office during the year 1929. Only those names marked "passages. to America" for lists of passengers from Ireland to America, have been listed. Among these are the following. These are all the DICKs I could find listed: 1804 - Northern Ireland Ship Lists (1804-1806)

1883 - GA, Newton Co., Newton Factory or Webbville, July 4th, to William W. Dudley Washington DC, Sir: the postmaster at Monticello GA being unable to furnish the required information concerning yours of May 5th which I herewith return, sent to me for my reply as the parties in question resided in this neighborhood at the time of their death and for many years before. Mrs. Susan Dick who resided in the neighborhood in the year 1873 is now dead. She died the 16th day of October 1873. She was known to be the widow of James Dick, who was generally believed by his neighbors to have served in the war of 1812. Very respectfully William H. Pickett PM Susan made this application, widows claim (10512) by act of Feb. 14, 1871 for a pension based on James Dick's military service in Capt. Myricks Co. GA Militia. It was later rejected ... I guess because she had died.
