The idea for these pages came about as I searched for an ancestor that 'disappeared' in British Columbia circa 1887. I call him "that dratted Thomas". There is no indication of where he went or what happened to him after 1886-87. In the course of my research there have been untold numbers of web pages that have given me 'clues' or direction about where to find the original or "source" documents to support my research. As I searched for good ol' Tom the thought occurred to me that it might be helpful for others to use the data from some of my searches as a 'clue'. I have no information on the names contained in these 'research' pages unless otherwise indicated. The BC Archives are accessible online - links included. Note that the search parameters varied (& are summarized on each page). These pages are not "complete" listings - they are transcripts of the results of some of the searches I have done.More pages will be added as time permits. |
