The map of Co Armagh shows that most of the Hanlons were living in the southeastern part of the county - with the greatest concentration of them in the civil parish of Killevy. Killevy is located in about the same area as the Barony of Orior. The possible former homeland of the Hanlons in the Barony of Oneilland East would have been in the upper right hand corner of the county.

There were a total of 180 Hanlons in Co Armagh listed in the Griffith Valuation.
