Superintendent

Wm. J. Driscoll, Supt.
Home for Destitute Catholic Children
Harrison Ave. and Concord St.,
Boston, Mass.

Dear Sir:

Replying to your letter of recent date. I wish to advise you that Mary Silva, mother of Flora and Alice Silva, was admitted to this hospital December 17, 1902 and was discharged on April 7, 1903 for deportation to Portugal

Our records in this case are not very complete but it was found that Mrs. Silva came to the United States at the age of 18 years and went to live with an aunt in California. She later married and had six children, all of whom were born in California. Upon retutning East she brought the two girls with her, and when she was committed to this hospital they were placed in a home.

Hoping this information will be of assistance to you, I am

Very truly yours,
W.E. Lang,
Superintendent
