Birth date on certificate is 27 May 1934. I was told 28 May, and that date is shown on all other documents. Baptized 21 Oct. 1934, by Rev. Snead, Presbyterian Church in New Orleans. I was told that Pailet was best man at my parents wedding. Baptized again 30 Apr 1941 in Covington, LA upon entering the Catholic faith, and added the name Benedict. Sponsor was Louis Edward Masson III. Name officially changed from David Pailet Benedict, to David Benedict about 1956. Served in US Navy from 29 Oct 1954 to 1 Aug 1973, as a weather man. Retired as a Senior Chief Petty Officer, 1 Aug 1973, Naval Station San Diego, CA. After retiring worked for 25 years as a Calif. Real Estate Broker in San Diego and Riverside counties.
The information about the MacKenzie family was given to me by Marie's youngest sister, Dorothy. She obtained much of it from her mother and aunts.
