Know all men by these present that we Andrew Lee & Pearce Daniel are tied and firmly bound unto Daniel Wood Esquire Governor of Virginia in the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars to which payment will & truly be made to our said Governor and his successors for the time being we bind ourselves jointly & securely our every of our joint & several Heirs, Executors-----------& firmly by these present sealed with our hands and dated the 25th day of June 1798.

The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas there is a marriage shortly intended to be had and solemnized between the above bound Andrew Lee and Margaret Daniel. If therefore there be no lawful cause to obstruct said marriage then this obligation to be void else remain in full force & virtue.
