Lois Yeater, 85, of Portland, formerly of Parkersburg, passed away Monday, March 22, 2004, at Eagle Pointe Nursing Center. She was born June 25, 1918, in Wood County, a daughter of Moses and Ruby Shepherd Deem. She was a Christian and a homemaker. She loved farming and was associated with the Farmers Market in Athens, Ohio. She also had worked at the Air Craft in Akron, Corning Glass and Yonker's Manufacturing Co. She is survived by three daughters, Regina (Danny) Osburn of Belpre, Patti (Al) Loscar and Penny (Kyle) Sinclair of Portland; one sister, Faye Kirk Davis of Washington, W.Va; 10 grandchildren, Tonnie (Jeff) Stevenson of Louisville, Ohio, Greg (Shannon) Osburn of Belpre, Teresa Loscar of Portland, Jacqueline Hendricks of Belleville, Cheryl Triplett of Racine, Ohio, Timothy (Crystal) Loscar of Coolville, Tony (Eloise) Loscar of Wellston, Ohio, Shawnna (Jimmy) Summers of East Liverpool, Ohio, Justin Middleswart and Jesse Allen of Portland; 19 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three husbands, Lambert Stewart, Tom Barnhart and Don Yeater; one grandson, Rick Osburn; five sisters; and six brothers. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. today at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, with the Rev. Jeffery Stevenson officiating. Burial will be in Success Cemetery in Reedsville, Ohio. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of services today at the funeral home.1  |
