Birth*Adam Deem was born on 27 January 1779 at Westmoreland County, PA. 
Note*He settled in Campbell County, Kentucky shortly after his marriage and commenced the tanning business, being a tanner and currier by trade. Sometime during that winter (1800 or 1801) Adam, his wife and his parents under the labors of local preacher by the name of Brown all embraced religion and joined the M.E. Church. between 1800 and 1801. 
Marriage*He married Jane Campbell on 23 December 1800 at Harrison Co., Kentucky. 
NoteAdam Deem To get away from slavery in the fall he moved to Butler Coun ty Ohio. (from the journal of John C. Deem) in 1806. 
Tax Record*He was Tax Record between 1808 and 1811 at Butler County, OH. 
NoteHe Per Early Ohio Settlers by Berry, Adam bought land in R3 T5 S11 on 3 November 1808 at Butler County, OH.

Death*He died on 2 September 1829 at Butler Co., Ohio, at age 50. 
Burial*He was buried on 4 September 1829 at Astoria Cemetery, Madison township, Butler County, OH. 
ProbateHis estate was probated after 4 September 1829 at Butler County, Ohio Testementary Book 1828-1831 p. 249, Butler County, OH; reads: Sept term 1829 Adam Deem deceased Be it remembered that on application of Jane Deem widow relict of the deceased having relinquished administration of all and singular the goods and chattels rights and credits which were of Adam Deem late of the county aforesaid is granted to John C. Deem who with Garret Schenck, Daniel Tuder and Reuben Kerchival his sureties are bound to the State of Ohio in the sum of $8000. Ordered that William Reed, John Beard and John P. Reynolds be the appraisers. 20th Nov 1835 costs paid costs 3.25 paid with costs on settlement. 
Note An obituary for William Curry who died in 1884 at age 92 which was included in the Mound Cemetery book stated that William came to Butler County, Ohio with Adam Deem to learn the tanners trade when age 16.
