James Brett married Susan Unknown child James Brett b 1824 Essex, England.

 James BRETT b1824 Essex, England, married Susan HAMMOND in 1847 at Manuden, Essex, UK. Susan was born in Manuden in 1823 and was a daughter of William HAMMOND and Elizabeth NOTTAGE. (Note James married a Susan as did his father).
James and Susan arrived in Australia on the "Plantagenet" in 1857. James was 23yrs. old, Susan was 31 from Hertfordshire. They were unassisted passengers, as they paid one pound and worked their passage.

James and Susan had 8 Children - Emma b1849 England, Clara b1852 England, Henry William b1855 England, Elizabeth Ann b1858 Concord, James b Jun 1861 Concord d 1861 Concord, Mary Jane b1863 Braidwood d1863 Braidwood, Susan Eliza b1866 Braidwood, Priscilla b1868 Braidwood d1885 Canterbury.

 James BRETT died 25th Oct 1900 William St Enfield aged 75 yrs from Senile Decay he was buried 26th Oct 1900 at St Thomas C of E Cemetery Enfield, occupation listed as Labourer at time of death. James Bond was the informant on his death certificate. 

Susan HAMMOND died 30th December 1898 at The Boulevard, Strathfield from Chronic Enteritis, Cerebral Haemorrhage and was buried 2nd Jan 1899 in St. Thomas Cemetery Enfield. James & Susan are buried together with daughter Priscilla d 1885 & Clara's son William 1892

Henry William BRETT married Jane SMITH on 1st Jul 1876 Concord, NSW Australia.

Henry William Brett b1855 England was a labourer he arrived in Australia with his parents in 1857. In 1878 owned the freehold at 10 Highgate St Strathfield. Henry married Jane Smith 1st Jul 1876 Concord. Jane Smith was born at 203 Cowper St.Glebe, on the 8th Dec 1856, her father Sidney SMITH was born 1835 in Bristol, UK, and he married Jane LOUDON on 29th Jan 1856 at Cooks River, Sydney. Jane LOUDON was born 1831 in Magherafelt, Derry, Ireland; her name was shown as "Lowden" on their marriage certificate.

Henry and Jane Brett had 12 children - Charles H b.1878 Concord, Walter William b. 11/6/1879 Concord, Ernest Arthur b.1881 Canterbury, Olive Blanche b.1883 Canterbury, Gordon Edward b. 1885, Clara Jane b.1888 Burwood, Stanley Herbert b.1890 Burwood, Cecil Henry b.1892 Burwood, Priscilla b.1893 Burwood, Alice M b.1895 Burwood, Sidney Thomas b.1898 Burwood, Robert Redver b.1900 Burwood.

Henry Brett died from Mycard. Arterio Sclerosis on 28th Oct 1943 Canterbury and was buried 30th Oct 1943 at St Thomas C of E Enfield with his wife and son Arthur Ernest Brett.

Jane Brett died 13th Nov 1901 and was buried at St Thomas C of E Enfield.

Cecil Henry Brett married Annie Spence Rice Addison on the 9th Nov 1914 Jerilderie, NSW. Cecil b 15th Dec 1891 in Burwood, he was christened 17th Jan 1892 at St Thomas C of E Enfield. Annie b.27th Oct 1892 Main Street Portstewart, Londonderry, Ireland. Annie arrived in Australia with her parents George Addison & Annie Spence aboard the "Gothic" in April 1912.

Cecil & Annie Brett had 4 children, James Henry b 1915 Brighton, Victoria. Harry William b 27th Sep 1918 New Street Brighton, Victoria. Eileen May b 4th May 1921 Victoria. Frank Alfred Spence 9th Jun 1926 Victoria.  Cecil & Annie and lived in Auguster St Strathfield around 1950's.

Cecil Brett d 27th Sep 1953 from a gunshot wound to the head he was cremated at Rookwood Cemetery with his wife Annie Addison d 27th Sep 1953 from a gunshot wound to the chest received from her husband and was Cremated at Rookwood Cemetery. 

Eileen May Brett married Alfred Herbert Boughton in March 1940 Canterbury. Alfred Boughton b.15th Apr1921 Campsie. Alfred & Eileen had the 3 children, Patricia Ann b 23rd Sep 1940 Paddington (my mother), Dennis Leslie b 25th Oct 1944 and John Douglas b Aug 1946. Eileen May d 26th Aug 1953 cremated at Rookwood and Alfred d 27th Apr 1997 Blacktown Hospital and Cremated Pinegrove Cemetery, A plaque placed at Pinegrove cemetery has both of their names on it.
