Whether used to trace family ancestors or to study the activities
and movements of these particular early Texans, this website
should prove a valuable tool for historical research. We intend
to gather as much data about the individual members of the Debus clan
from Alsace as we can assemble into a single and widely accessible
source.

We know of a sizeable group that settled is Texas. There was a
group beginning with Philip Debus in Lincoln, Nebraska and another
in Saint Louis, Missouri. There were a significant number who
settled in Canada and another group in Australia.

We intend to collect as much data as we can about each of these
groups and to link them where possible to their roots in Alsace.
This is a large project. So we are sincere when we solicit all
contributions of data large or small. We want this base to be accessible
to each individual building a Family Tree. Perhaps we can serve as
an important source, among many possible sources, of information to
accomplish our common goal
