"Uncle Doc" or "Dr. Mac", a pioneer in radiation technology, was the son of Samuel and Amanda Boyer McGlothlan. "Aunt Anna" was the daughter of Oscar & Martha Nash Fakes; she was raised in the home of her mother's sister Elvina Nash Boyer (Mrs. Daniel Webster Boyer). While themselves childless, the McGlothlans became "Uncle & Aunt", and benefactors, to several generations of Boyer relatives ....
