Jasper Leander Loghry, taken 1896 in Gravette, Arkansas
He married Bessie Miller. There is some question about this marriage actually having taken place. For the time being I am leaving it. I'm not sure, though, that any marriage or relationship existed between Jasper Leander and Bessie Miller. I do feel that Bessie probably had a daughter Martha and that the families were closely intertwined due to Bessie's brother marrying Jasper's sister Susan and Jasper's son Joseph marrying the daughter of Bessie's sister.. Jasper was born at Clarinda, Page County, Iowa, in 1877.3,4 He was the son of Joseph Leander Loghry and Isabell Melinda Ferrell. The 1880 Census listed Jasper Leander Loghry in addition to Esther S. Loghry, Charles Alva Loghry, Arthur Loghry, Joseph Leander Loghry, Isabell Melinda Ferrell, Clarence Edmond Loghry and Susan Esther Loghry in the household of George William Loghry, in Valley, Page, Iowa.5 He married Martha Lucy Norris at Eight Mile, Missouri, on 20 April 1907. Service performed by Rev. Dean Britton, pastor of M.E. Church at parsonage.. Jasper died circa 1942 at Red Bluff, California.6
