Davidson, pastor of the church, both of whom were instrumental in leading him to Christ eleven months previously, although he was never able to be baptized. He was a kind and devoted husband and father, a loyal friend and a good neighbor, an honest and upright citizen who will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. Pallbearers were Will H. Bolin of Lexington, KY; Charlie F. Jones, C.A. Carmen, J.H. Gunnoe, Dewey Sorrell, and Felton Hill.

Mallissie Eledge

The death angel has again visited our community and taken one of our most beloved women home on April 7, 1911. Mrs Eledge was born in 1861. After a lingering illness of about twelve months departed this life, laid down her cross and passed over the dark river of death.

She was a daughter of R. C. Law and the wife of Robert Eledge. She was a member of the Baptist Church of Bethel. She leaves a husband and five children. We thank the kind friends of Powder Springs for being so good to our niece. She left five sisters and two brothers; three sisters living in the West, one at Knoxville, and one in Sevier County.

She was buried at Bethel.
