Robert made his home on the watershed of the Leatherwood creeks. Helived in this locality through the period of the Revolutionary War. Hedid not fight in the war, would not fight; in fact, he was so strong aTory in his convictions that he would not even allow his horse or hisguns to be used in the revolutionary cause. He may have used the name"Robin". He married the sister to Edward's wife: a Miss Elkin. "Historyof Patrick & Henry Co." book shows his wife to be Hannah and Edward's tobe Mary Elkin. Info that Joseph Rohr received in "round table "communications produced Hannah as the wife to Edward.
