The settlement of Oxford County, Ontario Canada began before it's name was chosen and it's boundaries established. In the year 1800, this area was finally formed and known as "Oxford". The first cemeteries were opened circa 1830. This Webpage contains the 102 cemeteries found in Oxford County. Under each respective township are listed the cemeteries found within it's borders. To find the headstone photographs, click on a cemetery. Note: To find the missing and weather-beaten headstones, a trip to the local history centre or library will be needed to view previous transcripts.
