Worley Rites Set Tomorrow

Funeral Services For Aged Farmer To Be At Beason Cemetery

 

W. P. WORLEY, 72, farmer who lived in Owens Cross Roads, died at the residence at 7 o’clock on Thursday morning after a long illness.

 

Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 11 o’clock at Beason Cemetery, between Gurley and New Hope.  Rev. Roy STONE and N. R. FRENCH will conduct services.

 

Mr. Worley was a member of the Church of Christ.

 

Burial will be in Beason Cemetery with Scottsboro Funeral Home in charge.

 

Active pallbearers will be Ralph BINGHAM, Ed GLOVER, Albert WORLEY, Ernest WORLEY, Roy WORLEY, and Oscar WORLEY.

 

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. J. H. SENTELL, G. A. KELLY, A. I. WILLIAMS, R. E. HERRIN, Ned HERRIN, J. N. CHANDLER, John CARPENTER, Will HERRIN and H. L. WOODY.

 

Surviving are the wife; four sons, A. S. WORLEY and W. E. WORLEY, Akron, Ohio, R. O. WORLEY, New Hope, Oscar WORLEY, Owens Cross Roads; six daughters, Mrs. W. W. GLOVER, Bessemer, Miss Kate WORLEY, Tuscaloosa, Mrs. Ed GLOVER and Mrs. Sam COBB, Owens Cross Roads; Mrs. R. R. BINGHAM, McConnelville, Ohio, Mrs. Grady SMITH, Akron, Ohio; one sister, Mrs. Levina BRAZELTON, Huntsville.  He is also survived by 21 grandchildren.
