Death Claims Mrs. Woody, 85; Rites Set Tomorrow For Resident Of New Hope

Mrs. Martha Jane WOODY, 85, widow of J. T. WOODY, died at 6 o'clock this morning at the residence of her son, Walker WOODY, New Hope, Route 1, following a short illness.

Born and reared in Madison County, she had lived at New Hope, Route 1, the last 51 years.

Funeral services will be held at the residence of her son tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock, with the Rev. John PAGE officiating. Burial will follow in Hayden Cemetery, with Butler Brothers in charge.

Surviving are four sons, Albert WOODY, Walker WOODY and Jim WOODY, of New Hope, Route 1, and Will WOODY, Owens Cross Roads; two daughters, Mrs. B. OWENS and Mrs. Lena KEEL, New Hope, Route 1; one sister, Mrs. Sudie CRAFT, Huntsville; three brothers, Dave MOON, Will MOON and George T. MOON, of New Hope, Route 1, and 23 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
