Robert
Stadler was a brother to Lydia Stadler Fitch, wife of William Fitch, and
the Uncle of Empson Fitch.
*There is a question
as to rather Robert was actually the first grave. Other stories passed
down through the generations indicate that Empson was the first buried
there because his sons were gone fighting in the Civil War and Robert and
Delilah had no way to transport him to Old Knoxville Cemetery, when he
died, so therefore buried him on their own land.
