ZANESVILLE--Gary L. "Cobbie" Geyer, 56, of 3349 National Road, died
at 7:02 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, 1994, at Good Samaritan Medical Center.
Born Oct. 19, 1937, in Sonora, Mr. Geyer was a sales manager for Burnham Corp.
with 38 years of service. He was a member of St. Thomas Church, Elks Lodge No.
114, American Legion, Zanesville Country Club and was a past member of the Ohio
Licensed Beverage Dealers Association. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea and
was a member of Goss Supply Softball teams during the 1960's and 1970's and was
named a State Tournament All-star in 1966.
Surviving are his wife, Teresa Dahar; two daughters, Annette Williamson and
Lorraine Chalcraft, both of Zanesville; five grandsons; one brother, Bernard
"Butch" Geyer of Zanesville; one sister, Rose Ann Jackson of Huntington,
Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Geyer was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mildred Harden Geyer;
and one brother, Richard Geyer.
Calling hours will be 5 to 9 p.m. today at Bryan Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Ave.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 12, 1994, at St. Thomas Catholic
Church with Father Robert Keeler officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery.
He was buried in Mount Olive Cemetery, Zanesville, Muskingum County, Ohio.
