He was married to Evelyn Loretta Holcomb (daughter of Elmer Holcomb and Bessie Mae Perrigo) on 12 Sep 1935 in Norwich, Union Township, Muskingum County, Ohio. He was divorced from Evelyn Loretta Holcomb in 1937 in Zanesville, Muskingum County, Ohio. He was married to Evelyn Loretta Holcomb on 13 Aug 1940 in Zanesville, Muskingum County, Ohio. Evelyn Loretta Holcomb was born on 24 Sep 1911. ⁽⁷⁹⁵⁾ She died on 19 Feb 1994 in Zanesville, Muskingum County, Ohio. ⁽⁷⁹⁵⁾ She died at Good Samaritan Hospital of congestive heart failure per SGM. Her obituary reads as follows:
"WHITE COTTAGE--Mrs. Evelyn L. Geyer, 82, of 2746 Maple Ave., died at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb 19, 1994, at Bethesda Hospital Emergency Room.
Born Sept 24, 1912, in Zanesville, she was a lifetime resident of the Zanesville area and a member of the White Cottage United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Geyer is survived by two daughters, Sandra S. Miller of Altadena, Ca. and Linda Rogers of Scottsdale, Ariz.; two sons, James C. Geyer of Zanesville and Robert E. Geyer of Mohave, Ariz.; several grandsons; and one sister, Mrs. Margaret McCormick of South Zanesville. (Rose Hill [hand written])
