He graduated on 5 Jun 1925 from New Concord High School, New Concord, Muskingum County, Ohio.⁽²⁶³⁷⁾ He died on 17 Aug 1972 in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio. ^(3682)(795) His obituary reads as follows:
"Harry P. Geyer, 66 of 1424 Havencrest Court, Columbus, prominent retired insurance executive, died Thursday [17 Aug 1972] at this home following a lingering illness.
Mr. Geyer was born May 29, 1906, in Muskingum County, a son of Howard Geyer of Pittsburgh and the late Cora McDonald Geyer.
Mr. Geyer was associated with the Western and Southern Life Insurance Company for 37 years and was sales manager at the time of his recent retirement. He attended Muskingum College and Northwestern University. He had been a member of the First Community Church in Columbus for 30 years, and was a member of Community Lodge 684, F&AM, Scottish Rite and Valley of Columbus, Aladdin Temple Shrine.
He was a past president of the Columbus Life Underwriters Association and past president of the YMCA. He was a member of the Businessmen's club, Maennerchor, and a charter member of the Kingswood Garden club.
Surviving, in addition to his father, are his widow, Vivian; three daughters, Mrs. William (Barbara) ___________, Mrs. Margaret Donley of Columbus and Mrs. Katherine Blanton of Newport Beach, Calif.; a sister, Miss Mary Geyer of Pittsburgh; eight grandchildren.
The body was taken to the Schoedinger Funeral Home at 1740 Zollinger road where friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today [?]. Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday [21 Aug 1972] at the funeral home with Rev. Robert Rains officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Columbus."
He was buried in Union Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio. ⁽³⁶⁸³⁾

He was married to Vivian Hale on 5 Jun 1926. Vivian Hale⁽³⁶⁸⁴⁾ was born on 10 Jan 1909. She died on 7 Jul 1998 in Fort Collins, Larimer County, Colorado. ⁽⁷⁹⁵⁾ Harry Peola Geyer and Vivian Hale had the following children:
