Her name was Magil,
And she called herself Lil,
But everyone knew her as Nancy.

This site contains various scraps of genealogical data concerning my
ancestry. My goals are to discover and publish these aspects of my ancestry:
The furthest discoverable extents of my ancestral origins
The other descendants of those ancestors -- my cousins
The connections -- intermarriages -- between these relations
Noted personalities among my relations, both ancestors and cousins
Special coincidences connecting people who may not be related to each other,
but are both related to me: Rencontres
This is very much a work-in-progress. You will find lots of incomplete
sections. I do try to avoid creating dead links, though. If you find any,
don't hesitate to report them to me.
While I do make an honest effort to avoid posting erroneous or fictional
data here, it is obviously impossible for me to have personally verified
each individual fact. I rely on sources that I consider reliable and avoid
those that seem to have been, um, careless with their researches.
Nevertheless, error will inevitably worm its way onto these pages. I cast
it out whenever I find it, and I am grateful to my readers who point it
out to me.
If you are looking for something specific, consider using the site
search at the bottom of most pages. It is
quite fast, and runs off a comprehensive index of all the pages on my site.
I re-index the site as required, after significant changes or additions.
If you really like my website you can express your appreciation
by sending me a picture postcard featuring your town or some nearby attraction.
It's not necessary that you sign it, but you may, of course, do so.
A clever message would also be nice.
(Be sure to send it "unwrapped". The stamp and postmark are important!)

If I get enough really interesting ones, I may post them on a webpage!
PS: US postage for postcards is still about a quarter!

I also own these other sites around the web:
- Celebrities, et Cetera! —
Lists all my known ancestor or other relations of fame and notoriety.
Eventually, each will have his/her own page, complete with thumbnail biography and
a link farm of pointers to other relevant sites around the net.
Pedigrees are sometimes given, connecting the subject to me.
A new genealogical service to which I have begun adding my data,
as family annexes.
These pages contain the same data as on my ODT pages,
but arranged in a quite different style, more like linked Family Group Sheets.
Also available: individual notes and source information.
On the family-specific pages (ODT, Sources, Pedigrees),
a navigation bar will contain links to those other pages,
and to the appropriate GenCircles page, denoted as "Annex".
A RootsWeb service. I have placed only my ancestry here.
The link will show my pedigree to seven generations.
Additional generations can be viewed by following the little "=>" links at the ends of the lines.
