A very pretty wedding occurred last Wednesday, (January 1) at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Perkins, 896 Ridge Ave. Grand Rapids, When their daughter, M. Winifred, was united in marriage to B. R. McCrossen, formerly an Armada boy. Promptly at 8 o'clock the wedding march played by Miss Symes sounded and the Bride and Groom preceded by the bride's maid, Miss Florence Green, and best man, Kline Pursel.

The wedding ceremony was performed by Rev. Brewster J. Hubbs rector of Grace Church, This City, Using the impressive and beautiful Episcopal marriage service.

The bride was dressed in pale blue (crepe moire) and wore white carnations and the bridesmaid wore pink silk and carnations, while the groom looked handsome in full dress suit.

After the ceremony the guests were invited to the dining room where an elaborate lunch was served.

Thursday afternoon the happy couple left for Ann Arbor where they expect at present to make their home. Will be at home to their friends at 44 Washentaw Ave. after January 7.

The presents were many, valuable and useful.

{Note: This Wedding announcement lists M. Winnifred Perkins as William and Medora Perkins's daughter; according to My family history by my mother, Dorothy Perkins, Winifred was "Aunt Winnie" Always understanding that she was 'Aunt Winnie" by her Marriage to Benjamin R. McCrossen, Medora's Adopted brother. Other than this wedding announcement I can't find any documents that prove she was a daughter of William and Medora. Ruth Mills and myself are in agrrement that Winnie may have been a Sister (or other relative) of William N. Perkins.} !!!UPDATE!!! Having sent for and recieved January 2002, The Wedding Certificate for M. Winifred Perkins and Benjamin R. McCrossen. It list's brides parents as Erastus Perkins and Lucy E. Martin and Grooms parents as Mary Waite and David McCrossen.Additional documentaion that Winnie was a blood relation to William N.Perkins.
