I James Hardwich of the County of Westmoreland and parish of Copley being very sick and weak in Body but of perfect mind and memory Thanks be given unto God. Therefore calling unto mind the mortallito of my Body and knowing That it is appointed for all men once to die doo make and ordain This my Last will and Testament That is to say Principally and first of all I give and recommend my Soul into the hands of God That gave it and my Body ___commend to the earth to be burrid in decent Christian Burial according to the descretion of my Executors Nothing doubting but att the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God and for such worldly goods wherewith it hath pleased God to_____bless me with I give and devise and dispose of the same in following manner and fasion. IMPRIMIFS I give and bequeath my land and plantation whereon I now live unto my son Aron Hardwick and the still worm and Tubb that is upon the plantation to him and his heirs forever Lawfully begotten of his Body and in default? of such heirs to fall to my son George and his heirs forever. ITEM I give and bequeath to my loving wife Haney Ritta Hardwich my Negro boy Jack during her life and after her decease to go? to my son Aron and his heirs for ever. ITEM I give and bequeath to my son George Hardwich one Negro______named______and her_______ to him and his heirs forever. ITEM I give and bequeath to my son William Hardwich one Negro _______named Judah and__________to him and his heirs forever. ITEM I give and bequeath to my son William Hardwich my new black wallnot desk and my large wallnot table and my small still worm and Tubb that is upon my plantation that was left to him by my Brother George Hardwich to him and his heirs forever. ITEM I give and bequeath unto William Garland Junior fifty shillings to be paid out of my estate and my young mare branded with E _________ ITEM I give and bequeath to my loving wife Haney Ritta Hardwich one half of my estate which has not been bequeathed already during her life or widowhood but if she marry my will is she should have but a child's part. ITEM I give and bequeath the other half of my estate which has not been bequeathed to be equally divided between Frances Hardwich, William Hardwich, Aron Hardwich and George Hardwich and their heirs forever. ITEM my will is that my son William Hardwich shall be at age at the age of eighteen to receive his Negro land and plantation and his other estate into his own hands if he think fit. ITEM my will is that my daughter Frances Hardwich shall be at age at sixteen years shall receive her estate if she thinks fitt. ITEM my will is that my sons Aron Hardwich and George shall be at age at eighteen to receive their estate and legatees if they see? fitt. ITEM my will is that if there is any lawsuits about either lands or estates that those charges should be paid out of my whole estate.
