Funeral services for Millie Green, 95, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Vernon. Mrs. Green died Friday, Aug. 12, 2005 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.

Mrs. Green was born on March 31, 1910 in Wilbarger County. She attended parochial school at Zion Lutheran Church in the Lockett community. She married Clarence Green Jan. 11, 1931. They farmed in the Northside Community until his death in 1947. As a single mother, she farmed in the Lockett Community where she was recognized for her efficiency and conservation efforts. In addition, she managed the lunchroom at the Wagoner National Bank for many years. Millie was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, holding memberships initially at Zion Lutheran Church and later when she moved to town, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Vernon. She was a Sunday school teacher and participated in many service activities of the church.

Survivors include: a daughter, Audrey McDonald of Lubbock; a son, David Green of Rusk; three grandchildren, Billy and Daniel Green and Julia McDonald; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grand child.
