She was born October 18, 1933 at Fordyce, Arkansas, to James Joshua Hillman and Bobbie Lee Meeks Hillman. She married James A. Brown on July 25, 1952 at Fordyce. She was a Homemaker. Mrs. Brown had lived in the Mountain Home area, moving from St. James, Missouri in 2001. She enjoyed garage sales and her family. She was a member of Mountain Home Baptist Church.
Survivors: She is survived by her husband, James, sons, Steven (Carol) Brown of Mountain Home, Donald Allen Brown of St. James, Missouri, 3 brothers, Harry J. Hillman of Monroe, Louisiana, Carlton Hillman of Reno, Nevada, Jerry Hillman of Chidester, Arkansas, 5 sisters, Margie Aslin of Ft. Worth, Texas, Ruby Hile of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, Patsy Cunningham of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, Louise Pierce of Fordyce, Arkansas, Barbara Gill of Greenville, Tennessee, 5 grandchildren, Christie ( Jason) Jonas of St. Louis, Missouri, Steven L. Brown, Jr. of Mountain Home, Allen E. Brown of Mountain Home, Jared Brown of St. James, Missouri, Lakota Brown of St. James, Missouri, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, and 3 brothers.
Visitation: Visitation will be private.
Funeral: Graveside Service for Janie M. Brown of Mountain Home, formerly of Fordyce, Arkansas will be at 3:00 P.M., Wednesday at Stoney Point Cemetery in Fordyce with Reverend Charles Jones officiating.
Burial: Burial will be in Stoney Point Cemetery.
