Charles A. Craig, 79 years old, a resident of Joplin since 1905 and active in local and state affairs of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, died at his home in Castle Rock at 8:50 o'clock this morning. Mr Craig was a past state commander of the Joplin camp and a past senior vice commander of the state organization of the sons of veterans. He had lived in Castle Rock 25 years and was a member of the Royal Heights Community church. He was born in Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 o'clock tomorrow night at the home of his son, Dana K. Craig 2129 Manitou Avenue. The Rev. E. W. Love, pastor of the Bethany Presbyterian church, will be in charge, assisted by members of the Charles H. Morgan camp of the sons of veterans. Mrs. Thelma McClintock will sing. A funeral cortege will leave there at 3:40 o'clock Friday morning for Memphis, Mo., for burial. Pallbearers will be E. H. Cullison, James Greer, F. L. Underwood, C. O. Baggerly, C. L. Burris and Glenn Marshall.

Surviving are another son, Norman Craig, 2502 Rolla Avenue; a daughter, Mrs. H. H. Hendricks of South Sioux City, Neb,; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Moyer, Miss Sadie Craig, Miss Hattie Craid and Miss Jennie Craig, all of 621 Moffet Avenue; a brother, the Rev. A. A. Craig of Bartow, Fla., and eight grandchildren.
