David Schultz (M)
b. 13 September 1717, d. 25 April 1797

     David Schultz was born on 13 September 1717 in Armenruhe, Silesia.¹ He was the son of George Scholtze and Anna Huebner. He married Anna Rosina Beyer, daughter of Abraham Beyer and Rosina Yeakel, on 29 October 1745. The ceremony was conducted by a justice of the peace.^1,2 He and Anna Rosina Beyer were also reported to have married on 19 October 1745.³ He and Anna Rosina Beyer had no children.² He lived in Upper Hanover Township, Philadelphia County, later, after 1784, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.^4,2 He was naturalized on 29 March 1755.¹ He was a surveyer and conveyer.² He married Elizabeth Lauer on 27 June 1758.^5,6 He witnessed the will of Jacob Hystand on 27 March 1765.⁷ He left a will on 13 October 1794.^8,9 The transcript of the Will read:
In the Name of God, Amen. And I David Schultze Senior of Upper Hanover Township in the Country of Montgomery & State of Pennsylvania Yeoman find myself in an advanced age & in a Weakly Condition of Health but of a sound Mind & Memory Thanks be to God....So do I on this thirteenth day of October in the Year of our Lord one thousand Seven Hundred & ninety four Mak publish & ordain this my last will & testament ...and first of all I recommend my soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it...And as touching my worldly Estate I hereby dispose of the same in the following manner. That is to say.
Imprimis. I give & bequeath to my beloved Wife Elizabeth my bed with the Bedstead & Curtain & what belongs to it, & two Chests & the Drawers & the Clock in the stove Room, And also further the Equal third part of all my Cattle Kitchen Furniture Household goods & of my other personal Estate whatsoever---except as hereunto mentioned & it is My Will That She shall have her full right of Dower for to remain to live on the Premifses on my Plantation & to get & receive Yearly for her Subsistance all such articles as usual in Grain, Pork, Beef & the Orchard & Garden Products, & one Cow to be held for her & to be provided with firewood & otherwise by all means as far as to be Sufficient & necefsary for her Support at her own Choice & at the discretion of impartial chosen Persons so as it will Suit & be deemed equitable, to get & enjoy the same Yearly during all her lifetime or Widowhood whether my Plantation be Kept by any of my children or be sold to any body else...
And further it is my Will that all such articles of Household Goods as my Two oldest daughters Magdalena & Anna have got their Marriage portion That shall also be given to each of my two Youngest daughters Mary & Rosina at any time when she desires it. And I further give & bequeath to my two Youngest Daughters, as to Mary the sum of Fifteen Pounds & to Rosina the sum of ten pounds in hard money of Pennsylvania for having stayed with us & worked some years longer than any of my eldest Daughters have done, To receive the same after the time when my Personal estate shall have been sold---
And relating such of my Books as my family will chuse to Keep I bequeath those to my Wife & four Children in five equal shares to divide them at their own discretion who may sell the remainder by publick or Private sale--
And further it is my will that such articles as grain Pork and all other sort of Provisions & the fodder for the Cattle Nor the Linens Flax & Wool & what May be required for Clothing shall not be apprised but kept by my family for their Common use---
And as relating my Nefsuage Plantation & land situate in upper hanover Township aforesaid & containing about Seventy eight Acres of Land being part of one hundred & eighty acres for which I have got a deed dated on the sixteenth day of May Anno One thosand seven hundred & forty nine an out of which I have sold the remainder Several Years Ago---It is my Will that my said wife & Children may remain to live on the said premmises & to manage the same for their Common Use & benefit as well as they can & to rent out some of Fields as it will suit them & in that case to keep all my Cattle Household goods & tools by the appraisement Under their hands as long as it will suit them. But when they give it up Then it is my Will that any of my Children whom it shall suit best shall have a right to to accept hold & keep the same under the conditions of the above recited yearly Subsistance for my wife, & for such a price as they then may agree about it among themselves In which case I give and bequeath to my Wife the sum of fifety Pounds in Cash for her further support during life Which said sum is to be taken from the first payment to be made for the Premises. But in case none of my children should intend to buy and keep the same Then it is my will that all the residue of my Personal goods may be sold by Public Vendue & then I hereby fully impower & authorize my hereunto named executors or the survivor of them to sell my said Plantation & Land with appurtenances thereunto belonging to anybody else in the best manner & on such conditions as they can & for me & in my name & stead To sign seal; execute and deliver a deed for the said premises to the Buyer thereof & if then my said Wife Elizabeth should intend not to remain to live on the same nor to reserve thereof any articles for her yearly subsistance as above recited then I hereby give & bequeath to my said Wife the use & interest of the equal third part of the consideration for which my said real estate shall be sold be sold to receive the same Yearly for her support & Subsistance during all of her lifetime or widowhood but if she should marry again then she is to receive only the equal half part of the said interest during her lifetime & after her death the said principal sum shall fall back to all my children to be divided to them in equal shares & it is also my Will that the sum of One hundred pounds to be taken from the first payment of the said Whole consideration for the use of my wife & the remainder from the next four terms of payment so as to be the equal third part of her use as aforesaid & after all costs and charges shall be paid Then I give and bequeath the amount of all the residue of my estate to my hereunto named four daughters As to Magdalena the wife of Samuel Loback & to Anna the wife of Abraham Clemmer and to Mary & Rosina Schultze as to each of them the equal fourth part & Share thereof & each of them is to receive the equal fourth part of my sum of Money as the sum shall be got in though not under fifteen Pounds at once as in part of his due share, to begin first from the oldest to the youngest except the agree about it otherwise among themselves, and further if any of my youngest daughters should die unmarried or Intestate, Then it is my Will that such Childs share of & on my estate shall be equally divided to my wife & my surviving children in equal shares.
I hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said wife Elizabeth & my son in law Samuel Lobach to be the executors of this my last Will and Testament & I desire that all may be done held and performed according to the true intent & meaning hereof & I declare ratify & confirm this & no other to be my last Will & Testament.
In Witness Whereof I the said David Schultze Senior have hereunto set my hand and seal. Dated on the day & year as first above written to hold all the said Legacies to my above named Heirs & Children & to their heirs and assigns forever.

Be it Remembered that on the 30th October 1797 the foregoing Will of David Schultze was proved in due form of law & Letters Testamentary granted to Elizabeth Schultze Samuel Lobach executors within named, they having first affirmed well and truly to perform the same & to render an acct according to law. Given under my hand and seal & Registered the 30th October 1797.
For Register A Webb. He attested to the validity of Anna Hoffman's will on 22 January 1795.¹⁰ He died on 25 April 1797 at age 79 years, 7 months and 12 days.² He was buried in New Goshenhoppen Church Cemetery, in Hereford Township, near East Greenville, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.⁵ He's will was probated in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, on 30 October 1797.¹¹

Anna Rosina Beyer (F)
b. 13 August 1720, d. 14 June 1750

     Anna Rosina Beyer was born on 13 August 1720 in Nieder Harpersdorf, Silesia.² She was the daughter of Abraham Beyer and Rosina Yeakel.¹ She was baptized on 13 August 1720 in Nieder Harpersdorf, Silesia. The sposors at her baptism were Melchior Heydrick, Anna Rosina Hauptman and Helena Beer.² She immigrated with her parents Abraham Beyer and Rosina Yeakel on 19 October 1736 to Pennsylvania on board the Perth Amboy.^3,1 She married David Schultz, son of George Scholtze and Anna Huebner, on 29 October 1745. The ceremony was conducted by a justice of the peace.^4,5 She and David Schultz were also reported to have married on 19 October 1745.⁶ She and David Schultz had no children.⁵ She was murdered on the night of on 14 June 1750 in Upper Hanover Township, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.⁷
     The killer, 18-year-old Hans Ulrich (John) Sailor, was an indentured servant very recently coming into the employ of her husband David. He stabbed her in the throat. He was quickly apprehended and immediately confessed, saying he did it for spite. He was tried, convicted and sentenced on Thursday, 22 October 1750 and hanged in Philadelphia on Saturday, 14 November 1750.⁸
     Her funeral was held in Upper Hanover Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The text for her funeral sermon was Jeremiah 9:21, which reads: For death is come up into our windows, and is entered into our palaces, to cut off the children from without, and the young men from the streets. (KJV).⁴ She was buried in New Groshenhoppen Church Cemetery, in Upper Hanover Township, near East Greenville, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.⁴

Abraham Beyer¹ (M)

They were accompied by their children Anna Rosina, Anna Maria, Abraham, Andrew, George and Susanna Beyer.^4,1 He and Rosina lived in Worcester Township, Philadelphia County,, now Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.¹ He died on 30 October 1754 at age 64 years, 2 months and 14 days.¹ He was buried in Methacton Mennonite Meeting house Cemetery in Methacton, Worcester Township,, Philadelphia County, now Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.²

Rosina Yeakel¹ (F)
b. 16 June 1699, d. 30 July 1770

Jeremiah Yeakel was also known as Jeremias Yeakel.⁴ He married Susanna Wiegner, daughter of Christopher Wiegner and Anna Scholtze, on 16 June 1763.¹ He and Susanna lived in Hosensack, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.⁵ He died on 10 February 1818 at age 81 years, 10 months and 1 day.³

     Susanna Wiegner was born on 5 August 1740.^1,2 She was the daughter of Christopher Wiegner and Anna Scholtze. She married Jeremiah Yeakel, son of Hans Heinrich Jäckel and Susanna Heydrick, on 16 June 1763.³ She and Jeremiah lived in Hosensack, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.⁴ She died on 12 June 1821 at age 80 years, 10 months and 7 days. I doubt this date. The 1879 Genealogical Record gives this date but it's the date the 1923 edition gives as her husband's date of death. I have not seen the 1923 edition where it supplies her biography, but it isunusual for a couple to both die on the same date 10 Feb 1818 according to 1879.¹
