11. Henry William Frederick Albert3 Wipper (George Frederick Ernest Albert2 Hanover, Albert Edward1 Wettin) was born in Sandringham, Norfolk 31 March 1900.(115) Prince Henry died 10 June 1974 at Barnwell Manor, Barnwell, Northamptonshire, England, at 74 years of age.(116)

He married Alice Christabel Montagu Douglas Scott in the Royal Chapel, Buckingham Palace, London, Middlesex, England, on 6 November 1935.(117) Alice was born London, Middlesex, England 25 December 1901.(118) Alice is the daughter of John Charles Montagu-Douglas-Scott, 7th Duke of Buccleuch & Queensberry and Lady Margaret Bridgeman. She became engaged to Henry William Frederick Albert Wipper August 1935.(119) Alice became betrothed August 1935.(120) Alice was awarded the Imperial Order of the Crown of India, in 1937, by King George VI. The order was discontinued when India gained its independance. She was also made a Dame Grand Cross of the British Empire (GBE) the same year. She was made a Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order (GCVO) in 1948. In 1975 she was made a Dame Grand Cross of the Order of the Bath.

At 39 years of age Alice became the mother of William Henry Andrew Frederick Windsor Hadley Common, Hertfordshire, 18 December 1941.(121) At 42 years of age Alice became the mother of Prince Richard Alexander Walter George Windsor Northampton, 26 August 1944.(122) Alice Christabel Montagu Douglas Scott was created a Her Royal Highness, Princess of the United Kingdom by Elizabeth II July 1974. The reason publically given was to easily distinguish between Alice and her daughter-in-law, both of whom would carry the title of Duchess of Gloucester. Henceforth she would be known as Princess Alice, a desination that would indicate she was a princess in her own right. If a woman becomes a princess by marriage, her title properly would be (as it was in her case) Princess Henry.

He was christened into the Church of England at the Chapel, Windsor Castle, Windsor, Berkshire, England, on 17 May 1900.(123) His father, George V, created Prince Henry the Duke of Gloucester on 31 March 1928.(124) He was also created the Earl of Ulster, Baron Culloden

He became engaged to Alice Christabel Montagu Douglas Scott August 1935.(125) At 41 years of age Prince Henry became the father of William Henry Andrew Frederick Windsor Hadley Common, Hertfordshire, 18 December 1941.(126) At 44 years of age Prince Henry became the father of Prince Richard Alexander Walter George Windsor Northampton, 26 August 1944.(127) Prince Henry was appointed Governor General of Australia in 1945. He held the position for two years, until 1947.

William Henry Andrew Frederick4 Windsor was born Hadley Common, Hertfordshire 18 December 1941.(128) William died from an airplane crash 28 August 1972 near Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, at 30 years of age.(129) His body was interred 2 September 1972 at the Royal burying ground of Frogmore, Windsor, Berkshire, England.(130) He was christened into the Church of England at the Private Chapel, Windsor Castle, Windsor, Berkshire, England, 22 February 1942 by Dr. Cosmo Lang, archbishop of Canterbury.(131) He was a student at Eton College. He was the supporter at Birgitte Eva van Deurs and Prince Richard Alexander Walter George Windsor's wedding Barnwell, Northamptonshire, England, 8 July 1972.(132) This was the parish church of Barnwell, near Barnwell Manor, the home of the duke and duchess of Gloucester. The duke might not have been present if the service was held elsewhere.
