This deed made this the 28th day of May
1889 by and between Austin Bush of the County of Wise and state of Virginia.
Parties of the first part and Elisa A. Musick of the County of Russell and
state of Virginia of second part, witnesses that for and in consideration of
the sum of one dollar paid in hand and the further consideration of the natural
love, and affection that I have for my daughter, have this day bargained and
sold unto Eliza A. Musick and do by those present give grant bargain sell and
convey a certain parcel or tract of land this being a certain boundary that the
said Austin Bush holds under right of possession, and by a decree of the
circuit court of Wise County that will appear and record at the Clerks office
of Wise County Va. And bounded and described as following, lying and being in
Wise County Virginia on the waters of Russell Creek known as the upper tract of
land owned by the said Austin Bush adjoining the lands of Claris Wright the
heirs of A. H. Nash the heirs of Mike Lark and others containing (450) four
hundred and fifty acres by estimation be the same more or less and the said
Austin Bush makes a reserve of the use and control of the said tract or parcel
of land during his natural life and then to fail to the said Eliza A. Musick.
And now the said Austin Bush does by these presents warrants generally the
title to all the above described lands with all the ______ and _______
belonging there to the said Elisa A. Musick to have and hold to herself her
heirs or assigns forever in witness whereof the said Austin Bush sets his hand
and seal this day and date first above written.

the 4th day of February 1885 between Thomas Bush of the county of Scott, and
state of Virginia of the first part, and Thomas M. Bush of the county and state
aforesaid of the second part.
Witnessed that for and in consideration of the sum of twelve hundred
dollars in hand, paid the receipt is hereby acknowledged the said Thomas Bush
do ___ bargains, sell & convey unto the said Thomas M. Bush & his heirs
a certain tract or parcel of land lying in the county of Scott and State of Virginia
situated on the North side of Castlewoods road and bounded as following to wit
Beginning at ___ on said ___ thence running north said road, on Eastward course
to J.H. Porters line & corner thence with said Porters line thence
Northward course with T Serg__
line to ___ Farmers line thence near the same direction with _. Farmers line near top of chestnut
Ridge to Jones Powers line thence westward course with said Powers line to the
Ramey line thence South ward with said Ramey line to said Castlewoods thence
Eastward with road to the Beginning containing 200 acres be the same more or
less. The said Thomas Bush will
___ ___ the above descended boundary of land unto the said Thomas M. Bush with

January 1888, between Thomas Bush, of the County of Scott State of Virginia,
party of first part, and O. Barrett and G. V. Litchfield, their heirs and
assigns of the County of Washington, State of Virginia party of the second
part. Witness Th; that for and in
consideration of the sum of 15 cents per ton, the party of the first part here
by bargain and sell to the party of the second part, the exclusive right to
mine and take from the lands of the said party of the first part, lying in the
County of Scott, State of Virginia containing fifty (50) acres, situated on
Chestnut Ridge. The parties of the
second part to select the above mention fifty (50) acres, and adjoining the
lands of Jessey Bush, James Porter and Ramey lands. The parties of first part excepts buildings Orchard &
Garden from said lease all the iron ore on or under said lands of the
aforesaid, together with the right of ___ and ingress to and from said iron ore
over any of the lands of said party of the first part, for the term of
ninety-nine years, and the party of the second part, binds himself to pay for
the said iron ore at the end of each month after the same shall be mined and
divided. A ton to be 2240 lbs. and the weight ascertained by the scales of the
railroad to which the ore shall be hauled. Work to commence within the next five years or this contract
is void, and should the work be abandoned for two years at any one time then
this lease is null and void.

Notes for THOMAS M. JR BUSH III:
Tom first entered the U. S. Army after
the Spanish American war in 1908 his Military records states his age as 20 and
3/12 (twenty and 3 months.). He
was discharged in January 21, 1911.
This information does not agree with his birth record which was taken
from the Social Security Death Index, which puts his birth in 1883. His Military record puts his birth at
1888, which ever we use does not change History , so we will pick one and use
it. . His 2nd hitch in the U. S.
Army was June 30, 1917 and Discharged on May 14, 1919. His Military Records shows landing in
Europe in Aug. 1917 and was involved in three Battles (1) Second Battle of the
Marne, (2) Saint-Michiel (3) Argonne.

Charles was a miner all his life,
moving from place to place for work.
Starting in Scott County, Miller Yard area, he moved to Wilder Virginia
in 1917, where he worked as a Mine assistant foreman. His next move was to West Virginia around 1927. He then moved to Jewel Ridge
Virginia (out side of Richlands Virginia) in 1934/35. In 1937 the coal miners were in the process of forming
unions, Charles lost his job, he was in favor of the Union. Then he moved to Pound Virginia for a
short time in 1937, moving back to Dungannon the same year. In Dungannon Charles died at age 60
from all the coal dust he had breathed over the years took his ability to
breath.
