In the Name of God Amen I Andrew Moorman of the Province of Georgia and the Parish
of St. Matthews Planter being sick & Weak in body but of a perfect mind and memory
Blessed be god for it Knowing the frailty of all men and the Mortality of all that
I must die am willing to Dispose of what worldly good god in mercy has bestowed on
me which may be a means to stop adoo from arising after my demise.
Item first and principally I Recommend my soul to god that gave it me hoping through
the mercy of my blessed Redeamer to Receive a free pardon of all my sins and secondly
I Recomend my body to a Christian burial at the discretion of my Executrix after
named and all my worldly goods In manner and form following that is to say
Item I will that my land on which I live be equally divided between my sons viz Gidean
Moorman and Cornelas Moorman and Andrew Moorman Junr.
Item I will and Bequeath that when my sons before named shall arrive at the age
of Twelve years that each of them at that age shall have (by my Executrix) one young
cow & calf branded for their own property out of my Estate
Item I will and bequeath my rifle gun to my Eldest Gideon Moorman and all the rest
of my goods both Rael and Personal I will and bequeath to my loving Cataran Moorman
to enable her Breed and Edicate my Children and to Discharge all my Just Debts and
Legicies and do Constitute and appoint My Loving wife Catherine Moorman my sole
Executrix of this My last will and testement and I do revoke all other wills and do
allow of this to be my last Will and Testament as Witness My Hand & Seal this 20th
Day of November 1761

of his Majestys said province and
Ordinary of the same.
Personally Appeared before me Townsend Robinson one of
the subscribing Witnesses to the Last Will and Testament of
Andrew Moorman late of Saint Matthews Parish in the Province
aforesaid Planter deceased and being duly sworn on the Holy
Evangelists made Oath that He was Personally present and did
see the Testator Sign Seal publish pronounce and declare the
same to be and contain his Last Will and Testament and that
he was of Sound disposing Mind and Memory to the best of his
Knowledge and belief and that he with Thomas Keesee and Sophere
Robinson signed his Name as Witness to the said Will at the Request and
in the Presence of the Testator and in each others presence
At the same time Catherine Moorman
named Executrix Qualified as such
before me
Given under my hand
the 6th day of December 1762
