Ireland Civil Registration - Marriages

Civil Registration in Ireland for all Protestant marriages began in April 1845 and for Roman Catholic and other marriages in January 1864. Registration records are arranged by year and by the Poor Law Union and District where the marriage was registered. The LDS Family History Library holds microfilms of the Civil Registration Marriage Indexes 1845 to 1921, and microfilms of the Civil Registration marriage records from 1845 to 1870. Many thanks to Eileen Eide for contributing many of the marriage records that she has gathered.
