Clonegal, Old Roman Catholic Lower Cemetery
Fr. Thomas Cummins was Parish Priest from 1810-1818. Born 1755. He died at Clonegal on 14th March, 1818 aged 63 years.
He is buried in the Clonegal Old Roman Catholic Lower Cemetery, Site #15 -
Here are deposited the remains of The Revd. Thomas Cummins P.P. of Moyacomb
Barragh. Distinguished through life for many excellent qualities. Amiable and benevolent in private intercourse. Zealous and laborious in the discharge of his pastoral duties. He died the 14th of March 1818 in the 63 year of his age.
Beneath this tomb also are deposited the remains of the Revd. Thos. Cummins Jnr. who depd. this life 18th of April 1824 aged 33 years.

Also the body of Matthew Cummins son to the above Thomas Cummins who depd this life 3rd day of Jan 181(1) aged 46.
