ST. Nicholas of Myra Church was full to
capacity on Tuesday, June 22, for a special Mass to honour the
retirement of Mary Roche, vice-principal of Dunlavin National School.
John O'Reilly, on behalf of the parents,
thanked Mary for her 36 years' service to the school and wished her and
her family every happiness in the future. Margaret Birchall made a
presentation on behalf of the parents.
April Fitzpatrick and Niamh O'Byrne made
a presentation on behalf of the students. Kay Hogan represented the
board of management while Tommy Brennan and children sang.
The Mass was celebrated by Fr. Michael
Murphy. Florence Grace will replace Mary as vice-principal.

Cummins, Carlow; 3, Vincent Howard, Baltinglass. This competition
