MEMBERS of Rathanna Tug-of-War Club travelled to Balbriggan, Co. Dublin on Sunday, May 12 to take part in a Leinster competition at Division 2 and senior levels.

Rathanna emerged winners of the Division 2 competition, in which they played Creewood, Co. Meath.

The following were the team members: Paddy Nolan, Kenneth Doyle, Terence O'Neill, Paddy Cummins, Alan Griffin, Seán Ryan, Jay Kelly and Tomás Carty. The trainer is Doug Watchorn and waterman Tommy Ryan.

The club and committee members wish to extend thanks to all who supported their recent fund-raising cabaret in Coady's of Rathanna.

The door prize winners were Bernadette Cummins and Seán Nolan.

The raffle prizes were won by Ann Whitford, Pat O'Neill and Patricia Doyle.
