| The
unexpected death of Mr Dan Murphy, Mullawn, Bunclody took place on
Tuesday, January 1. A well known farmer he had always been associated
with the GAA in the area and recently was presented with a plaque by the
Half Way House Bunclody GAA for being the oldest member of the club, at
a dinner dance in Rathgarogue House. His death is a great blow to his
bereaved family to whom we tender our deepest sympathy. The remains were
removed to St Mary Magdalen's Church, Kilmyshall on Thursday where
Requiem Mass was celebrated by Father Frank Stafford CC Kilmyshall after
which interment took place in Calvary cemetery. The tug o war group and
the Half Way House GAA members provided a guard of honour. He is
survived by sons Paddy Murphy, Phil Murphy, John and Mick Murphy,
Mullawn; daughters Cathy Fitzharris, Kilbride, Nancy Fenlon, Monageer,
Statia Fitzpatrica, Ballycarney and Mary Cummins,
Nurney. Sisters-in-law Mrs Katie Dunne, Ballypreacus and sister Anna
Maria Dunne, Roscommon. Brothers-in-law John Dunne, Ballypreacus;
daughter-in-law Jane and Ann; sons-in-law Noel Fitzharris and Joe
Cummins, Fran Fenlon and Jim Fitzpatrick also grandchildren
nieces, nephews, relatives and friends RIP. |
