1. Michael J.¹ Murphy (#1525) was born in PA Nov 1862. Michael died between 1900-1911.

He married Anna Ward at St. Vincent Catholic Church in Minersville, Schuylkill Co., PA, 28 Sep 1884. (Anna Ward is #1522.) Anna was born 11 Aug 1856 in Ireland. Anna was the daughter of Thomas Ward and Margaret McCormick. Anna died 11 Aug 1911 in Minersville, Schuylkill Co., PA, at 55 years of age.⁽⁹³⁰⁾ Anna was killed after she got off the bus in Minersville. She was crossing Sunbury Street, near 5th, when she was struck by a Lytle Coal Company automobile in front of her home. She was only the 2nd person in Schuylkill County killed by a car.

Her body was interred 14 Aug 1911 in Minersville, Schuylkill Co., PA, St. Vincent Cemetery No. 1.

He resided in Minersville, Schuylkill Co., PA 1900, Sunbury Street.

Michael J. Murphy and Anna Ward had the following children:

2 i. Florence V.² Murphy (#1526) was born in Heckscherville, Schuylkill Co., PA 17 Apr 1886. According to her marriage license, Florence may have been born on 18 Apr 1887. Florence died 4 Nov 1966 in Pottsville, Schuylkill Co., PA, at 80 years of age. Her body was interred 7 Nov 1966 in Pottsville, Schuylkill Co., PA, Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery. She married James F. Boran in Minersville, Schuylkill Co., PA, 22 Jun 1910. (James F. Boran is #1529.) James was born 19 Aug 1880 in Minersville, Schuylkill Co., PA. James was the son of Patrick Boran and Joan Gallagher. James died 16 Jul 1969 in Pottsville, Schuylkill Co., PA, at 88 years of age.⁽⁹³¹⁾ His body was interred 19 Jul 1969 in Pottsville, Schuylkill Co., PA, Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery. (See James F. She resided in Minersville, Schuylkill Co., PA 1966, 518 Sunbury Street.

3 ii. Loretta Murphy (#1527) was born Apr 1892. Loretta died 31 Oct 1918 in Pottsville, Schuylkill Co., PA, at 26 years of age.⁽⁹³²⁾ Loretta died when she fell from a 3rd story window. Her body was interred 1 Nov 1918 in Minersville, Schuylkill Co., PA, St. Vincent's Cemetery No. 1.

+ 4 iii. Michael Paul Murphy was born 13 Jan 1894.
