1. Henry F.¹ Dengler (#978) was born Barry Twp., Schuylkill Co., PA 17 May 1841. Henry died 6 Nov 1912 in PA, at 71 years of age.

He married Mary Yoder Ashland, Schuylkill Co., PA, 30 Mar 1868. Henry and Mary were married by Reverend J. J. Weber (Mary Yoder is #979.)

He resided Barry Twp., Schuylkill Co., PA 1841 - 1872. Henry served as a Sergeant in Company H, 17th Rgt, Pa. Cavalry, 24 Sep 1862 - 16 Jun 1865. Henry was wounded by a bullet in the right knee during the Battle of Rappahannock and recouperated in a hospital in Washington, D.C.

He resided Doutyville, Northumberland Co., PA 1872 - 1875. He resided 1875 - 1912.

Henry F. Dengler and Mary Yoder had the following children:

2 i. Kate² Dengler (#1397) was born Barry Twp., Schuylkill Co., PA 1868.

3 ii. Howard Dengler (#1398) was born Barry Twp., Schuylkill Co., PA 1870.

4 iii. Emma E. Dengler (#977) was born Barry Twp., Schuylkill Co., PA 22 Dec 1872. Emma died 15 Jul 1951 at 78 years of age. Her body was interred Ashland, Schuylkill Co., PA, Kimmel's Cemetery. She married Harry Edward Hoch Barry Twp., Schuylkill Co., PA, 7 Sep 1895. Harry and Emma were married by Rev. C.A. Kerschner at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. (Harry Edward Hoch is #976.)

Harry was born 14 Feb 1874 Ashland, Schuylkill Co., PA.⁽²⁸⁴⁾ Harry was the son of Joseph Hoch and Elizabeth Millard. (See Harry Edward Hoch for the continuation of this line.)
