"One of the oldest residents of Galston, Mrs Catherine Waddell, died at her residence there on Thursday, at the age of 81 years. She was the wife of that sturdy pioneer of the Hawkesbury forest, Mr. William Waddell, who it may be mentioned, had been a reader of the Argus from the first issue. They leave a large family of good men and women. The interment of the remains of the fine old lady will take place at the Wesleyan Cemetery Dural, today."
"On Wednesday of last week Mrs. John Cusbert passed away after a very long and painful illness. Mrs. Cusbert has left a husband, five sons and two daughters to mourn their loss. The Burial took place on Thursday in the Methodist Cemetery and was well attended. Rev. M. Boyer officiated and the funeral was in the hands of Mr. W. Metcalfe."
