Past two days were heavy artillery, and head-on shooting at each other. This morning we were taking the hill at Shiloh, running more frightened, than being so-much conquerers, gun shots constant, where's all this ammo coming from? You could here them 4 ounce balls whizzin past your ears, it's amazing we all ain't been hit by one'em yet. I died this morning.
