The Eldridge Township is located in Township 36N Range 16 - 17 West in Laclede County.  This township borders the Hooker and Auglaize Townships of Laclede County and the Counties of Dallas and Camden.  The main communities are as follows:

The Lebanon Daily Record, December 23, 2001

The Daily Record published a full front page article this day regarding the history of Ira.  The old town of Ira was burnt down in 2001.
