The Osage Township is located in 34N Range 15 & 14 West. The main communities are as follows:

	Abo, Township 34N, Range 14W, Section 3. Originally known as 'Ballinger's Mill.
	Drynob, Township 34N, Range 14W, Section 22. Originally known as 'Dry Knob'.
	Oakland, Township 34N, Range 15W, Section 26.

Early Settlers

In 1844 and 1845 the first settlers to purchase land from the US Government in the Osage Township were:

	Moses Bean, 200 acres in sections 22 and 23
	James Campbell, 80 acres in section 22
	John P. Campbell, 80 acres in section 22
	Jacob Cobb, 40 acres in section 31
	Joseph Faires, 80 acres in sections 8 and 9
	Robert Faires, 400 acres in sections 8, 17, 20 and 21
	John Honssinger, 160 acres in sections 9 and 10
	Abraham Munholland, 40 acres in section 28
	John Paradise, 120 acres in section 4
	Andrew Steel, 120 acres in sections 23 and 27
