Samuel Jefferson Crowley and
Nancy Jane Sutfin
Samuel Jefferson Crowley was born 26 Sep 1846 in present day Walcott, Greene County, Arkansas at the Wiley Crowley house. He died 20 Sep 1882 in Walcott, Arkansas. He was the son of Wiley Crowley and Lucy Capps Mellon. His father died ca. 1847, and by 1850 his mother was remarried to Dr. Thomas J. Mellon. Dr. Mellon died during the Civil War. Jefferson is buried at Warren's Chapel Cemetery, Walcott, Arkansas with his wife, mother and several of his children.

Jefferson's wife was Nancy Jane Sutfin who was born 4 Jul 1846 around Walcott, Greene County, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Jacob "Jake" Sutfin and Sarah Pevehouse. They are buried at Shiloh Cemetery at Crowley's Ridge State Park. Nancy died in Sep 1889 in Walcott. She is buried at Warren's Chapel.
