BETHANY ECHO, Friday, July 18, 1913
Bryan Bresnan died about noon Saturday in Decatur at St. Mary's Hospital from stomach trouble.
He came here from Dalton City about two weeks before his death and stopped at the Park Hotel. He was sick while here and ate nothing. Monday week he was taken to the home of Ed Bresnan north of town where he remained until Saturday when he was taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Decatur.
For several years he lived here but for the past few years had lived in Dalton City.

He was a great reader of the works of Robert Burns and frequently quoted his sayings.
Mr. Bresnan was born in Limerick, Ireland, in 1845 and came to this country when about thirteen years of age.
His wife (his second wife Theresa Brady, R.L. Craycroft) died last spring at her home in Dalton City.
He leaves three sons, C.E. Bresnan of Utah, Dan Bresnan of Ohio, Bryan Bresnan, Jr. of South Dakota and two daughters, Mrs. Mike Nolan of South Dakota and Mrs. Martin Sheehan of near Decatur.
