Lillian "Sis" CRAWFORD
  Birth 19 Oct 1894 Center, Attala County, Mississippi; Lillian lied about her age, 1920 census showed that she had pared two years off her age by that time, an inaccuracy that she carried through on other official records until the end of her life.
Death 8 Dec 1997 Shreveport, Caddo Parish, Louisiana; Lillian outlived four husbands and died at the age of 103!

Occupation   Journeyman electrician. Was active member and one-time president of his International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) union local in San Francisco, California.  Worked on building of many skyscrapers in downtown San Francisco in 1940s, 1950s and 1960s.
Other Bet 1930 - 1940 Union organizer who worked with his second wife, Catherine WHITTEN, a telephone operator, to unionize telephone operators in the State of Louisiana. 
Military Service   Bob was too young to join the armed forces during WWI, although he tried by lying about his age.  (Family oral history stated that he was actually born in 1901, although his daughter's birth certificate showed his birth year as 1900.)   Because of his poor vision and age, he was turned down when he tried to join the armed forces again during WWII.  He worked as a civilian employee for the Navy during WWII on Treasure Island in the Oakland, California Bay area, an assignment he took so seriously that he refused to tell anyone what he had done for the Navy.

Death 10 Mar 1926 San Angelo, Texas; according to his sister, Lillian CRAWFORD, Earnest was hit in the head with a football during a game at his high school.  Earnest came home, collapsed in the kitchen and died in front of his family.
