           WILL OF ROBERT ST.CLAIR/SINKLER
                      (Father of Betsy)

   I, Robert St. Clair Sen of Bedford County  
 	Do hereby make this my last will and Testament
 	In manner and form following that is to say
 	1st I desire that all my just debts shall be paid
   2dly I lend to my wife Ruth St. Clair this track 
of land together with the mill where I
now live during her natural life to be
rented out by my Executor hereafter to be
named for her support the ballance of the
rent if any to be divided and shall hereafter
name
3dly I give to my daughter Betsy Browning the
cotton meshine now in my possession
togather with the tract of land which she
has all ready received and sold to Isaac
St. Clair he sold to John St. Clair and conveyed
to him.
4dly I give to my son Isaac St. Clair the one
half of the tract of land he now lives on
5dly I give to my son John St. Clair one dollar
Togather with the tract of land he now lives on
6dly I give to my son George St. Clair the other
other half the tract of land I gave Isaac
7dly I give to my daughter Bolley Walrand
that part of the tract of land she now
lives on not conveyed to Robert St. Clair
8dly I give to my son Robert St. Clair that
part of the tract of land Thomas Rucker
now lives on already deeded to Robert
9dly I give to my son Samuel St. Clair
Thomas St. Clair and Daughters Rachel
Feazel, Patsey Feazel and Nancy Patterson
the balance of my Estate Real and personal
to be equally divided between them
five as I shall hereafter direct my perishable
property to be sold as soon as convenient and the
money divided between them also to sell the tract
of Eighty five acres of land where Joseph Feazel
settled on a credit of one two and three years and
divide the money also between them five also
after the death of my wife to sell the tract
of land I left her for a support on a credit of
one two and three years and divide the money
also between them five.
and lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint
my friends John Patterson and Aaron
Feazel my Executors to this my last will
and testament In witness whereof I have
here unto set my hand and seal this Eighth
day of May one thousand Eight hundred and
twenty two

At a court held for Bedford county at the courthouse July 23 1827-The preceeding last will & Testament of
Robert Sinkler dec'd was proved by the oaths of John H
Otey Sr & Wilson N Bugg subscribing witnesses & was ordered
to be recorded and on the motion of John Patterson one of
the executors therein named, who made oath & gave bond and
security according to law, certificate is granted him for
obtaining probate thereof in due form- J.C. Steptoe CBC.
