Daniel Wilkes 124 Acres } This Indenture made the
Conveyed by Robert Sammons} twenty Second day of July in the
Registered 12th Dec 1816 } year of our Lord eighteen hundred
} and sixteen between Robert
Sammons of Williamson County and State of Tennessee of the
one part, and Daniel Wilkes of the Said County and State
of the other part, Witnesseth that the said Robert Sammons
for and in consideration of the Sum of Six hundred
Dollars to him paid hath bargained and Sold to the Said
Daniel Wilkes a certain tract or parcel of land lying
in said County of Williamson on Hay's Creek bounded
as followeth, Beginning At a Sugar tree and White on John
on Eaton's West boundary line, being part of a tract granted
to William Turnbull thence North With Said Eaton's line,
one hundred and Seventeen poles to Robert Smith's Corner
on Said Eaton's line, thence West one hundred and fifty
poles to Haye's Creek, thence down Said Creek, with its seve
ral Meanders to Sarah B Shilburn's South East Corner, thence
East one hundred and Seventy two poles to the Beginning
Containing by estimation one hundred and Seventy four
acres be the Same more or less To have & to hold the
Said Daniel Wilkes his heirs and assigns forever And the
Said Robert Sammons doth Covenant and agree to and
the said Daniel Wilkes that he will Warrant the Aforesaid
land to him the Said Daniel Wilkes and his heirs from
the claim of all others lawfully Claiming In Witness
whereof he the said Robert Sammons hath hereunto Set
his hand and Seal the day and year above first written

in presence of us

Andrew Craig } State of Tennessee, Williamson County
Lct? Robert Sammons Appeared in Open Court October Ses-
sion 1816 and acknowledged the Within to be his act and
deed and the Same was ordered to be registered. Let it be
