No 119 --- } This Indenture made the eleventh day of December in
Charles S. Newsom } the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
To} Deed } eighteen between Charles S Newsom of the County of Rutherford
John Salmons } and State of Tennessee of the one part and John
Salmons of the Same State and County of the other ------
Witnesseth that the Said Charles S Newsom for and in consideration
of the Sum of three hundred and ten dollars to him in hand paid by the
Said John Salmon the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath given
granted, bargained Sold Alind; _____ Convyd and Confirmd unto the
Said John Salmon his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of
Land Situate lying and being in the County and State aforesaid, and on
the Waters of Overalls Creek of Stones River Beginning at a black ash -
markd M.N. and also a hickory and dogwood markd with Chofy? about
twenty five yards North of the Road leading from Robt Smiths to Franklin
and about two Miles West of Carr's Mill thence West one hundred & Six
poles to a Cedar and then thence North About two hundred yards to a
post Oak, thence West and north & East with markd line of an entry
made by Fredk, Rowland So as to include five acres to a branch ash thence
east one hundred and Six poles to a Walnut and Cedar, thence South to
the Beginning Containing by actual Survey fifty five acres of land To
have and to hold the above mentioned land together With all and
Singular the hereditaments & appurtenances to the Said John Salmons
and his heirs & assigns forever and be the Said Charles S Newsom and his heirs -
doth Covenant and agree to and With the Said John Salmons and his heirs that
the Said Charles S Newson & his heirs Will Warrant and forever defend the before
mentioned land and premises from any person or persons Whatever unto the Said
John Salmon & his heirs & assigns forever:: In witness whereof he the Said Charles
S. Newsom hath Set his hand Seal the day Year first Written --------
