TO THE SHERIFF OF Lafayette COUNTY, GREETING:
You are hereby commanded TO CITE A.P. Browning, Caroline
Tatum & her husband J.D. Tatum, Caroline Nicholas & her
husband Isah Nicholas,
to be and appear before the Probate Court of Lafayette County,
at the Court House thereof, on the 4th Monday in September next,
then and there to answer the petition of Joshua Browning
Adm, of the Estate of Caleb Browning Dec'd, to sell
the land belonging to the estate of said decedant for dis-
tribution.
and further to do and suffer such things as shall be considered and ordered by the Court aforesaid,
in the premises. And have then there this writ, with an endorsement thereon of the manner in
which you shall have served the same.

Judge of Probate of said County, this 30th day

Greeting: In our Probate Court of Lafayette County, on
the 4th Monday of May 1860, you were
appointed and qualified as Administrator
of the goods and chattels, rights and credits, which were of Caleb Browning, Sr
late of said County: Therefore, we grant unto you full power to administer all and every of such
goods, chattels, rights and credits, within our limits: to ask, levy, recover and receive the same; to make
and return inventory thereof; to pay the debts with which said decedent stood bound, so far as said
goods, etc., may extend, and the law charge you---making all just accounts of your administration, to.
and with our said Court, when required.
WITNESS, A. Peterson; Judge of our said Court. Witness, also

28th day of May AD 1860

sureties, of Lafayette County, State of Mississippi, are held unto "The State of Mississippi," in the
penal sum of Two Thousand
dollars, for which payment we bind ourselves and our heirs, executors and administrators, jointly and
severally. Signed and sealed by us this 28th day of May 1860

THE condition of this bond is, that if the above bound Joshua Browning

wise to remain in full force.
